I don't support either team but I'm really looking forward to this game today between Canterbury and Souths. I have multi bets running so that might be it.
Good to see Kiraz back the other week, Burton and Kikau today. If Kikau is fit he has to be there. Even if just on the interchange.
No way Mitchell will be at 5/8, he'll be at centre. Lewis Dodd must start at half. He's a big match player and Bennett has reminded him he is just another player there to do a job. I reckon he'll be busting to excel.
Euan Aitken can play most positions so more likely he'll start on the bench. Although Josh Schuster is back. I'm surprised Cody Walker is fit. Schuster could slot in if Walker is ruled out. Even still, Schuster can play most positions too and I'd have him on the interchange if Walker plays and leave Aitken as a reserve.
I hope they're all fit, looks a great game. I want the Doggies to win 1-19 but there are a lot of quality players and unknowns here. I took the Dogs H2H and Souths with 19.5pts start in the multis.
The Souths forwards have been a big reason for their success this year. Keppie was only an interchange player with Manly but he's reveled as a starting player.
I can't believe Ezra Mam will be allowed to play again after what he did. Meanwhile Spencer Leniu gets dragged through the mud (again) by the Media for upsetting poor little Jonny Thurston. The World has gone insane.
Once again a player's Agent completely disrupts the NRL. This mid season player negotiation BS has to stop. Wests finally had a team on the park capable of making the semis or more. Seems like a tragedy all around. The fans deserve better.
Anyway, the show must go on. Now Mitchell Moses is back for Parra. Galvin has always expressed his desire to be an Eel ... and now with Dylan Brown taking the Newcastle money ...
No surprise if Nick Politis made him (and Wests) an offer he can't refuse.
Dolphins have been great the past 2 weeks with (almost) their full team on the park, especially with the return of Gilbert. At home they looked a chance against the Storm. However the loss of JMK is a big blow to their forwards structural play.
Now we find Harry Grant is out for the Storm, which should be a similar loss for the Storm. I took the Storm H2H and the Dolphins with 30.5pts start in multis.
Roosters Panthers battle for the wooden spoon. IMO, it's the loss of fish (JWH) that has robbed the Panthers of their mojo. No bet.
Similarly he's out for the Warriors which may well weaken them (even though at home) against the Broncos. Broncos H2H.
Newcastle started the year well, second only to Brisbane in the pre season but they've been destroyed with most of their starting forwards out injured. Their backs have had no go forward and little chance to shine. Sharks H2H.
Zack Hosking back for the Raiders is a big plus for their forward defenses. He hasn't missed a tackle all year. With Tino F back for the Titans they will need him. Looks a great game too but hard to bet against the Raiders. No bet.
