Once a ref has obtained his nrl badge nobody should be allowed to talk to him/her , thats including league officials and players .

A referee should just adjudicate on the game they are allocated . They know the rules and should apply them as per their training .

Probably best if nobody knows their name or where they live . Teams shouldn`t know who is going to ref the game until they run out .
