Some Australians like I do have some gold. Very few and far in between would admit to owning it though. I find It's taboo to talk about it in my circle and I would say most circles.
In any case I can't get myself to buy more gold these days. I just think it's way too expensive. I can still remember when I bought the last 2kg of my 22kg holding July 2019. Gold dipped below $2k aud Post #:39358008
Those where the days and definitely should have bought more back then. At this point in time I would rather buy other assets than gold. Only because I believe that 22kg will do me indefinitely and have kept up with inflation like its meant to. It has protected my purchasing power as intended. If you don't have gold or hold very little of it I would say it is a must have for the insurance and peace of mind it provides.
