Yes, I am serious. The ICU's of major hospitals are not, and never have been, overloaded with drug addicts and the obese. If that were the case there would currently be no beds available for covid cases.
My information is from my own experience, members of my family in the medical profession and the medical literature. If you have contradictory evidence then please provide it.
