Today Our Glad is taking the moral high-ground pretending that NSW is leading the way out of lockdowns by letting the virus rip through the community hahahahahahaaaa. she has lost my confidence entirely now.
the number of vaccination uptake in WA is quite low, but then we don't know if the vaccine supply has played a role in low vaccination numbers. Are you up to date with supply from the Fed Gov?
Morrison has been feeding nSW with additional doses as part of deal done with NSW.
Certainly the presence of the infection with large numbers has provided motivation for ppl to get vaccinated in NSW and Vic.... while WA has not had such, its not a shock that WA ppl are feeling complaisant. and this indeed could be disastrous for WA. but that's an indefinite claim. SA too are going slow too.
All things considered, I don't think there "is only one way out of this". suppression remains a vitally important part of any plan to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. However the staff in ED, on wards and in ICU are saying they are already overwhelmed with staff working longer hours, with an obligation to work overtime, and the family life and personal life of workers is severely damaged.
The country needs a National Plan - not just a 4 phase nonsense broad scope picture of when we could possibly open up economies around the nation..... they need to develop the plan as to how they will achieve the phases.
