    @grindstone cowboy; hospitals are always in a state of flux and eject patients as they as they can safely do so - they're NOT holiday inns! As soon as beds become free newbies are admitted.

    What's happening throughout NSW and including in private hospitals is that 'elective surgery' is being abandoned to free up staff to tend to Covid patients - eight weeks into lockdown staff fatigue and burnout from double-shifts etc have to be getting more serious and only able to be relieved from staff freed up elsewhere or due to reduced patient numbers.

    The fall back will be for staff from interstate to be called in and beyond that it's medicos from our defence forces.
