My call of more than a week ago that the current NSW Covid outbreak had maxed out has proven correct.

Today's welcome drop to 935 new cases from the 1,599 on September 11th represents a drop of almost 42% in just over a week. It's apparent that NSW's lockdown stopped daily cases rocketing into the scores of thousands and the rising vaccination rate is now forcing new cases numbers down - down -down!

The work is not yet done and NSW was very fast-tracked with vaccines to the detriment of other states, but Berejiklian and her Health team deserve a great big tick for holding their nerves and preventing what could have been an apocalyptic outbreak.
