But I will have to answer that question with another question to this Ms Anne T. first.....................What will fill the void in the Artesian basin when the water is pumped out by the many users and where a huge number of the Artesian bores are constantly flowing and some of them uncapped.?? What is it that will fill the void.??

Rain of course. And rain, from what I have been taught since my childhood, "IS WATER".......But who am I to say that...... Ms Anne T. knows it all. The comment from her, in particular about the lowering of the water levels in the water bores during the drought, is the real case in point as far as I am concerned.
