without putting much thought into this post, i have to say I watched the news tonight, which showed the NSW treasurer flipping thru the upcoming budget.

But the story was about how the NSW budget will be going into deficit.

So how on earth can we mug punters, the NSW public, even contemplate that the NSW Govt will forego royalties from CSG extraction, and forego the resulting investment in such critical infrastructure as CSG driven power stations?

It simply won't happen.

if the lights go out, we sure as hell won't be in a budget surplus!
