    True. But the bi-partisan consensus of the past two decades is under genuine threat from the religious faction of the Liberal Party which would see the gains in women's autonomy whittled away here as they have been in the US. It isn't a key issue at this NSW election but it simmers in the background in both the NSW and Victorian parties. Unfortunately, a period in the wilderness does seem to make it worse, not better. BTW, I wouldn't vote for either major Party in NSW - they are both corrupt and beholden to their sponsors.
