it is illegal to EVEN explore for U in NSW
which is straight out dumb
but
its OK, acceptable to have the Lucas Heights reactor consuming U as it has since 1958
"It was built at the Australian Atomic Energy Commission (later ANSTO) Research Establishment at Lucas Heights, Sydney. The reactor was in operation between 1958 and 2007, when it was superseded by the Open-pool Australian lightwater reactor, also in Lucas Heights."
and this reactor is, well almost in a Sydney suburb,
well fancy that
and the anti U people cry out aloud, you cannot have a nuclear reactor, its far to dangerous to live with... etc
which makes all those anti U people look like rather dumb uneducated fools
and the antis carry on about U etc
but
when a Doctor tells them they have the big C
and nuclear medicine might be their only chance at extending their life
all of a sudden nuclear is acceptable
but Uranium isn't.........

the sooner NSW AND THE OTHER States
wake-up and allow the exploring, mining
and the use in generation of U the better for all
