Internet and dataThe Gig State project will boost regional internet service with network infrastructure and increased fibre capacity in regional NSW.The NSW Government has committed $100 million for the Gig State project in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Parkes and a corridor west to Cobar, as well as a fibre solution for residents in Sutton, Bywong and Wamboin.

The objective of the project is to deliver metro-level digital connectivity to regional NSW with improved price, quality of service and choice for regional businesses and communities.Tender Process The NSW Government will run a two-stage tender process to seek innovative solutions from the market that will deliver a better service to regional communities in the initial locations.

The first step in this process is the Expression of Interest (EOI) which launched on 22 April 2020.All submissions will be assessed against the program objectives.Upon completion of the EOI, a Request for Tender (RFT) process will commence later in 2020.
