Dear Nucear Shills.
How would a baseload nuclear power station work in this situation ?
Turning on and off every day .
My understanding is that a baseload nuclear power station has to run at about 90% plus for 40 years to make for a very expensive business case.
That's the basis of a baseload nuclear plant's LCOE . Or a CFPS for that matter .
l.e . Not switching on and off every day. Coal plants are lucky if they get to 60% these days. That's why they are going broke.
l must be missing something . How can these nuclear power stations be economic when only running half the time at best ?
