    there are alarmists on both/all sides of the argument.

    yet this issue won't go away and even what we do today will have effect only 20 or so years later. given the half life of the GHGs and the effect that lingers long after the initial impact, global warming has a become a more urgent issue as Govts think they still have plenty of time to change our emissions levels.

    the evidence of this as a destructive force in AGW can be seen by the global average temperature already nearing 1.5deg above the previous stable average. had we stuck with Gillard's carbon price we would have reduced our national emissions by at least 25% by now (emissions fell by 10% during the carbon price period 2 yrs). so too would the rotw had they taken AGW seriously.
