There is zero evidience that we would have substantially less illness or deaths - the vast majority infected are still the vaccinated.
As for the rest - that was inevitable NO matter when this transition occurred - what do you expect when the states have sowed so much fear over the last 2 years. We are at or nearing the peak for Omicron and confidence will return as the peak dissapates.
