I remember a couple weeks into Syd lock down and it was taking off in Western Sydney, more police resources (and health) were put into the area and it was portrayed as racist. That were some a lively Drum and Q&A contributions.
Well, sure there are lots of ethinicites in that area yet despite other areas of the city being peppered with cases they have not gone off the rails. I havnt seen as many cries of racism lately, even when the fines were tripled and 'operation stay at home' intiated.
So, here we are today over 6 weeks in and over 500 of the cases today were Western and South Western Syd, depsite the enormous resources targeted at the area, in a city notoriously hard to get around. Sure enough, I saw 70% of cases being relorted relage to in home transmission.
Now no doubt some from work then into the home, but it doesn't fester with zero impact of measures for weeks on end without considerable effort to not give a f*ck.
