I confess to voting in NSW on the basis of the Federal policies. I vote green as I believe we need to make changes to a more sustainable lifestyle. I am putting on solar panels and making changes where I can, but realistically know this is a small contribution and a move to carbon pricing is necessary. I also support the Greens social policies. I also find some policies unrealistic from an economic point of view - but you take the good with the bad.
Relocating the Aiport - not a good idea. I am on the Northern flight path, but by the time they get to me, they are reasonably high so not too annoying apart from the odd rogue one. NIMBYism perhaps?
Public funding for sex change operations. Not an area I have a lot of experience in!! I remember talking to a girl who used to be a boy at a party years ago. I have no idea if she had an op or not (and was not going to ask), but she wanted to be a girl, but was born a boy. I remember it was an interesting conversation but can not remember what we talked about. I would have to say that I can see both sides of the argument - it would be very important to those that want it, but it is not life saving so why should the taxpayer pay for it? That said, I had a cyst removed from my back - that was not life threatening either......
