I read that in the paper and I thought then he must have really stepped on someone's toes. The wrong person I suspect.

To me what he did was nothing. It happens every day and shorting is just that in another form. ASIC is a toothless tiger and it's very good at fining you and doubling your Invoice if you forgot to pay the yearly company registration.

There may be something deeper, but on the surface, if the guy is speculating by buying to push the price up and then selling, or selling to push the price down and then buying; isn't that what is happening with FAR ATM? What exactly is ASIC doing about that? Provided of course he does not spread lies about any good news or bad news to influence the public.

I am not sure what the difference between doing that via CFD or just using ordinary shares.
