Energiser it would demonstrate very poor strategic execution if the whole of the Board and management of MEL had put themselves so offside with the NSW Government that they could not open a dialogue on possible resolutions to issues that are causing them both serious troubles. Even if they had, a simple replacement of the Managing Director should be sufficient to reset the relationship.

It would reflect fairly poorly on the Board if they did not have a Plan B and C and not just simply be relying on a successful outcome of the recent Court action.

It stops short of specifying a revised timetable for development and instead reads very much like the first step in announcing a substantial delay. Energiser you are correct that the gas situation in NSW is nothing short of a shambles; substantial kudos will go to the first group who can unblock the log jam.

And there is absolutely no reason why it cannot be MEL. In fact MEL has a lot of advantages not the least being that it is the most advanced wholly NSW based company with its head office in Sydney.
