NSW Premier announces $500million regional package at Murray Cod Australia's facility

Amazing half hour candid discussion yesterday between Ross Anderson, Matt Ryan and the Premier. Several tiny snippets of info gleaned. I am sure I heard something about the fact we will be exporters will give us access to something, maybe infrastructure grants or funding? Very hard to hear some of it, but a good 15 minute informal chat with the Premier is a nice boost for MCA

To date, no allocation to Griffith or the area has been announced.

The Premier: "Cameras, can you please make sure you get the (Murray Cod Australia) sign in?"

The Premier: "To say I am incredibly proud to be here (at Murray Cod Australia) today is an understatement."



- the premier is "very proud of this business, and we intend to support companies like Murray Cod Australia"

- the $500million will fund things such as power, water and road infrastructure in regional economies.

- specific reference made to potential funding for things such as MCA's reliant power infrastructure.

I strongly recommend everyone take the time to watch this clip and read the story. The Premier, Deputy Premier and local Member were all full of praise for Matt, Ross and Murray Cod Australia in general.

The $500million sounds like it is all grant funding, which is awesome, and there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that Griffith (and perhaps MCA) will get a significant chunk of this funding

The Premier: (as an example of submissions) "so we would hope that, based on our conversation today, that Murray Cod Australia would suggest to us they wanted us to invest in new transformers, that would reduce their energy costs, but it would also reduce the energy costs for many businesses in the area".
