There are more indications that the shyte gets deeper indicating the Trade roles were more about finding employment for otherwise dudded former State MPs. At least these two were from both 'sides' of the room and both women.

this is going to go further into the structure of a system of nepotism.

Couldn't these two find meaningful productive work? Fair enough Ms Goward had been in State politics for over 20 years and would, as a former journalist, have retired by now.... but Ms McKay, a former news reader for Newcastle News, presumably still had some desire to find meaningful employment.

The email, sent to Ms Brown's assistant and the recruiter, shows the candidates were included despite the recruitment process already being well underway.

"We've been asked to interview two last-minute candidates for the Senior Trade and Investment commissioner roles … Jodi McKay — India/Middle East (and) Pru Goward — India/Middle East or Singapore," she wrote.
