molonski, I don't mind the 'local' level, as it closely represents the needs of the local community/area........ but the 'state' level?????? We would be better taking away any power they have immediately, still paying them all the indexed salaries they're currently on till they die, maybe they could control the 'chook raffles' in pubs and clubs if they need responsibility. Seriously though, we would be better off if we stripped the states of all power, have a non politically appointed CEO in each, that's responsible for results of the state, and gives the figures to us in a non-political way.
