NSW-Vic border bubble crap - again!

Tonight the mayors of both Albury and Wodonga protested the decision by the Victorian Government to increase restrictions on border communities - reducing the number of reasons for travel across the border and imposing a $5,500 fine on those who infringe.

Martin Foley claims that this was done on the advice of Victoria's CHO and due to the deterioration of Greater Sydney's six week long Covid19 outbreak together with NSW's ongoing failure to ring-fence Greater Sydney.

It's now 300 days since the last known infection in Albury-Wodonga. But yet again governments are using border bubbles as a barrier to protect Sydney and Melbourne but without any compensation to local workers or to local businesses because we're not classified as a 'hot spot'.

Last year Berejiklian crucified border communities for 5 months, now we face the prospect of a repeat of 2020's crap until almost everyone in Sydney and Melbourne is fully vaccinated.

This is un-Australian and grossly unfair to border communities!
