""(Labor leader Michael Gunner said CLP mishandled tender process

Pipeline operator Jemena has said to meet its contractual obligations to complete the project and have first gas flowing by 2018 it needed to order the steel by yesterday.
The pipeline will now be 12 inches in diameter instead of the alternative size of 14 inches.)""

It just confirms what I have been saying for a while now.

IMO, someone has mishandled the tender process and stuffed up badly. And it appears that the tender has given/allowed for an exit door to the contracted pipeline contractor to do what it suit best for itself.

Now, and unless that NT Govt. will come up with $60 mill dollars which could have been better spent elsewhere, we will end up with a 12' pipeline ( a 30% reduction in capacity size)......not 14" as anticipated.

And someone will have to act very quickly too because, if not, the pipeline will be delayed as well.

    Just dyor!!!
