Note Garma festival, south of Nhulunbuy on the Gove peninsula.

Great to drive on the red sandy roads and look at the sights.

South of town is an Aboriginal artifact and cultural centre.
Think its in one of the old mine buildings (mine is closed)

There mostly Aboriginal women create artifacts for sale some lovely, some not so.

Look at the area on Apple or Google maps.
Nhulunbuy is a nice town, pub The Outback), Wooworths

The fact that almost no one lives south of town is obvious on the maps.

Also look at the "airport" where the terminal is in the shape of a plane
