I never believed the numbers WAM put out.
Too much gloss.
Despite all the hype, this LIC has a 5-year Total Shareholder Return of 13%.
Compare to AUI, DUI, ARG, MLT (15-16%) and CHO (18%).
This is a significant margin of underperformance.
The clue for the big difference between the performance the company tells you about and that which is independently mesaured by the Apsect Huntleys etc, lies in the title of my post :
