The Northern Inland Council for the Environment says it has been reviewing some maps and crunching some numbers. It says Eastern Star Gas has a project application before the Federal Government for 1,100 coal seam gas wells in the Pilliga. But after reviewing Department of Minerals maps for coal seam gas in the company's petroleum exploration title, it believes ESG could expand its plan to 7,100 wells. Now the group wants ESG to reveal the full extent of its plans for the Pilliga Scrub.
