G'day Roostar, stocks usually stay pretty close to the rights issue price during the rights issue time. There is ample supply of the rights at 0.1 cents (plus the 0.5 cents you pay for exercising them) on the NZX exchange for another week and a bit. This means that anyone can buy at 0.6 NZ cents, so there is no perception of a need to buy in at above 0.6 cents.
The sharks are waiting at 0.4/0.5 cents waiting for people to sell out. Some holders may even sell their shares at 0.5 cents to give the money straight back to the company by accepting their rights allocations at 0.5 cents.
It's just the reality of capital raising periods. Keep an eye on the market, NTL obviously doesn't mind issuing news into the capital raising period. There might even be some opportunities for those who have done their research![]()
