robbo 24 your enthusiasm is to be congratulated but thats where it stops your knowledge of mining is very limited .
They are not in shafts as you say .They are in drives .Lateral development .
The timber work you talk of was not put in by myself .It was rotten when we got there and if you knew much about mining you would know that rotten ground support does not support much at all .
I am not sure what machines you are talking about .
To carry 50,000 tonnes you would need rails and 10 tonne trucks or 30 tonnes diesel trucks and as you know the drives would have to be at least 4.5 x 4.5 for that .
