What Silex is doing is offering a way to recycle the nuclear waste that you are objecting to instead of purchasing the raw material from Russia and making more of it while also supporting murderous aggression of a corrupt and evil regime in the process.

OK, in an ideal world we would use "renewable" sources of energy from the sun, wind and water and make some cost effective way to store it (like hydrogen or pressure vessels) for immediate use whenever demand or supply are mismatched. But so far the technology doesn't exist on a scale that can be used everyday and in some remote areas.
So at least for the next little while we are going to need some alternatives as we advance the technology and make it safer and more economical and acceptable. Hopefully Silex is part of that.
