I am with you on nuclear energy.It's improving all the time.

We don't drive round in "T" model Fords anymore either.

San Fransisco as well as whole California could have another earthquake anytime, causing a massive disaster, but they still want to live there

Thousands of people died from the tsunami at Fukushima.

Japan needs power,and modern Nuclear reactors place in a safer place will give it to them.

They now have gas cooled reactors, so no need to place next to oceans for cooling and risk of tsunami.The earthquake didn't destroy it, the tsunami did by knocking out diesel generators. Maybe if they didn't shut down reactors that stopped electric pumps from working they would not have had the disaster.

When you think of the amount of liquid and gas fuel that cars, aeroplanes, ships and power houses use,we need to conserve it for items that can't run on nuclear.

Ships like the Nimitz class aircraft carriers and Electric generators should,and do run on nuclear power,hence saving oil and gas for items that can't.

As loric wrote, more people died trying to get to Australian this week. Maybe we should ban leaky wooden boats.
