Media, and in particular the ABC, have been predicting disaster after disaster from fukushima.
But the fact is no one has died. And if do some research you will see that the likely number of deaths from radiation contamination from fukushima will be between 0 to 100, with the figure 100 assuming that people stood outside for the whole event rather than seeking shelter.
It is a tragic event and it would not be pleasant living in the area but these events have not been disasters after disasters.
That is deliberate emotional language used to show how scary nuclear power is and how we in Australia cannot trust it.
