Good No. 1 point but probably tell half the story.

The fear people has which is beyond the current accident/as it past an accident, If nuclear radioactive fallout if uncontrolled, can affect many people lives for years and years to come (half life of some radioactive particles are more than 30 years) i.e. cancer rate goes up etc. Don't need to elaborate that it can contaminate the food chain for years and years to come.

But saying that, I do believe that Nuclear Energy for electricity base load is here to stay. All they need to do is tighten the safeguard to ensure future catastrophe like Japan is mitigated.
