Please note that your newsflash ignored some key points including but NOT limited to:
1. Most of that projected debt was courtesy of the outgoing Howarrd Govt - one which ignored the impact of committing Australia to fight illegal wars, embedded gross taxpayer over-funding for 'elitist 'private schools' in the Budget, superannuation for Australia's wealthiest $Millionaires in the Budget, which failed to address core infrastructure needs essential to our future including the NBN and which even delivered clapped out fighter planes, submarines, choppers and surface ships to the Rudd Govt.
2. It failed to mention that Labor only spent $43 Billion to prevent Australia copping the excesses of the worst global financial crisis in eighty years - the Coalition allowed JobKeeper to be rorted of that same amount when it was spooked by Covid19.
3. The Abbott Govt was elected on the PROMISE to fix Australia's projected debt - it did the opposite as it trebled the wealth of our wealthiest 5% and kicked Aussie Battlers in the groin with its 2014 Horror Budget is PROMISED it would never impose.
