I read that Italy is contemplating a return to nuclear energy after 30 years since their last nuclear plant closed. the report mention Advance Modular Reactors. (AMR).
these are the new breed, Gen IV, of nuclear tech. whether these are cheaper than Duttons older style plants, they're "safer" and more efficient, producing much more electricity from new formats including molten salt reactors and other new designs.
Aus is among 13 nations collaborating on the development of AMRs. why hasn't the Govt advised on this? do they think we would get excited and reject the idea?
we must consider nuclear energy. many countries are now switching to nuclear because of GW and the need to reduce emissions.
you know it makes sense. we simply need to take the plunge.
