I'm not advocating anything, I want to see a proper analysis done of the costs of both options. We need baseload power, the cost of doing that with renewables is going to be very high, one only needs to look at the miniscule amount of power that comes from the billions of $$$ we've already spent on batteries to understand that batteries are going to be a horrendously expensive option
