I don’t have any issues with the safety aspect of nuclear, but this country can’t build anything significant to budget. Far less cost blow out risk with a simple HELE coal plant.
You also have the decommissioning cost aspect of nuclear. You’re paying for it years after it’s produced it’s last megawatt of power.
