What a dumb statement. Australia is still burning coal but moving to renewables. The rest of the world is still burning coal but moving to renewables.
It isn't just a switch you turn & hey presto all the coal power stations are replaced by renewables. Which is why the LNP's stance of 'pause investment in renewables' is so dumb even if Australia does have approx 10% of it's power from nuclear. Renewables are still going to be needed & they aren't just built overnight.
