It's great that the efficiency is improving and that they can be recycled.
No argument from me on that.

But obviously there will be a limit to what they can produce from a given area because there's only so many watts per m2 of energy that falls to the Earth ar any given time from the Sun.

And unless you add solar thermal, battery or some other storage it cannot provide 24/7/365 baseload.
