well, I don't miss that point ---------- poor government creates many problems - I get that.
In Australia - for energy use for the home ---------- the main problem is caused by Ozzie culture
the depth of stupidity of the 'great Ozzie dream' combined with 'she'll be right' and 'I'm alright jack' --
these are characteristics of the culture - and out of this culture grows - politicians, governments and dreadfully shoddy building -
WHICH Australians have accepted.
If one asks a question similar to ------ 'why is it that Australian homes are so woeful in their high use of energy to keep the homes cool in summer and warm in winter?'
one cannot possibly come up with the answer that it's government policies -
it has to be a LACK of government policies.
A LACK of regulation. And a pathetic consumer base that just accept total crap that Ozzie builders build
they really aren't builders - they are more camping tent assemblers. That's about as good as the homes they are building are -
Ozzie homes are cold in winter, hot in summer, leak, sink and get eaten by pests.
And Ozzies just keep buying them - because they think 'she'll be right' the price will go up anyway.
It's a dreadful situation - and can really only be fixed by government - YES, by good government --------- you are speaking about 'bad' government.
What do you expect of a population that is more interested in cutting investment in education than in beefing it up?????
