The schedule I'm having trouble with is the appropriation of this $4.3 billion biden wants to get through. Cameco gave it a mention again this morning.
Does anyone with more US political process knowledge know the schedule for this? I thought it may give us a hint of when the Doe will call for proposals on haleu
"June, the Biden Administration in the US proposed a plan to transition away from Russian fuel supply by supporting an increase in the domestic supply of low enriched uranium (LEU) covering the entire front end of the fuel cycle and establishing a domestic source of high-assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) production and ultimately advanced reactor development through a DOE purchase program. The LEU procurement would begin deliveries in 2026 and would amount to about 5% of total domestic demand while HALEU would begin deliveries in 2027. The $4.3 billion (US) initiative remains dependent upon the Congressional appropriations."
