Solar is not the only renewable source of power. Wind, hydro, geothermal, biogas and biomass can also play a role if they're available. Winds are usually stronger at night at the same time as lower demand from industry and while many people are sleeping at night. Excess renewable power generated during their peaks can also be stored by gravity, battery and hydrogen. Read the AEMO 2022 Integrated System Plan as an example.
