They raised over $100M from professional investors with a placement at $4.05 which meant they had to offer the same placement to retail investors otherwise everybody would have complained about one rule for the sophs and one rule for the mums and dads.
Unfortunately, as often happens the share price dropped so retail investors did not take up the SPP but those who wanted more could have bought at less than $4.05 so getting a better price than the big boys and to be honest the $20M from retail was an afterthought considering how much they had raised through the institutions.
I personally sold a very small parcel of 5,000 shares at $5.00 on the 21st of Feb 23 when my profit margin was sitting at 93% and then when the SPP was announced planned to buy back but ended up buying 7,500 shares on the 10th of March at $3.82.
