Australia, like the US, France and Britain still can't provide a secure permanent depositary for nuclear waste. In fact Australia can't even collect all its low level waste and find a semi secure remote location. With a profusion of small reactors spreading waste wider, where will it be stored? or will it continue to be left in an ever increasing number of locations waiting for an accident or sabotage? This appalling situation has been going on since the 60s. That's six decades of an unsolved problem. what chance of a change ?
