As an investor I have never touched renewable projects. When Australia hits the next economic downturn, the millions if not billions of dollars poured into subsidies by the Government will dry up and then the system is "toast". The next economic correction may not be far away. My memory of the last recession that we had to have, was a waste land of failed businesses, the only ones that survived were well managed, efficient businesses that costed every cent. There was no room for propping up inefficient, ill conceived, badly thought out, hair brain ideas and renewable fall into that category big time.
