Everyone keeps focusing on the US and it's Uranium and enrichment, but the UK has a very similar problem because it too relies heavily on Nuclear power a great deal.
Something that seemed very odd at the time when it happened was the sale of Westinghouse to Cameco and Brookefields, as I say at the time?
Because Westinghouse make all the nuclear fuel for the UK and they are not overly endowed with mined Uranium yet they have exactly the same problem as the US after the Russian invasion of the Ukraine i.e. a reliable source of Uranium for enrichment for their coming SMR's and that is proliferation resistant,
The Foreign investment board in the UK are investigating? Cameco says it is sure things will go through this year, what do they have up their sleeve? and why are they so sure? my thinking revolves around recycling UNF , AND the UK has tons of it, and so does the US.
Keep in mind the recent development of the US having agreements to help the UK in the nuclear arena, and also the fact that Cameco wants more of GLE and the fact that laser enrichment is better than centrifuge.
