Aidan Morrison has become the face of Australia's nuclear movement, so as their spokesman is bound to bag renewables. Because of Australia's advantage of excellent renewable resources (plenty of wind and sun) combined with the available realestate, we are probably the most favoured country in the world for renewable uptake.
For other parts of the world renewables are also considered a cheaper option as they are reducing in cost where nuclear generation is rising. Nuclear is too expensive and too slow to save the climate. This from Reuters.
