Small, medium or large nuclear power? The claiming of GEN 5 or SMR or others is as much a marketing scheme perhaps? All of them are just minor variations of the current Nuclear power reactors. More passive safety improvements are all very welcome and helpful.

The AI data centres in the USA are already drawing the entire output of a plant the size of diablo canyon nuclear power plant. There is a arms race to data centres with others trying to compete.

The Winner will be the areas with 100% reliable 24/7 365 day a year power. Anything less and billions of investments in Data centres walks to where it as that guaranteed. Do you think trillions of $$$$$$$ in new datacentres and similar will be in your state grid? I wish they were of course! Wishing is not enough.

I have some shares in the Dog of Nuscale SMR. They may recover. They are just one of 20 or more rushing that space. The BWR300 might be first now? Link or this one?
"OTTAWA, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Canada will provide C$970 million ($708 million) in financing to develop a grid-scale small modular reactor (SMR), a new nuclear technology touted as a key part of the country's plans to reduce emissions, Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said on Tuesday. The project, which is being developed by utility Ontario Power Generation (OPG) in Darlington, Ontario, will be the first commercial grid-scale SMR in the Group of Seven wealthy nations (G7), according to the minister's spokesperson."
GE Hitachi is rocking my boat a bit

My X-energy SPAC dropped the merger when SMR dropped the ball. Oddly that was a profit as the returned capital is more than I paid to fail in that one.

The Semiens energy chaos in wind and other bigger issues such as unfunded 10,000 km of new high voltage transmission lines to even give wind and solar a start in the race. The maths on 10,000 km of new high voltage transmission lines is a Multiple PLUS of what cheap 24/7 365 days a year for 80 to 100 years in a Nuclear power plant or several here in Australia.

Claimed 'Economics' ignoring the entire costs are not going to deliver. Has our power bill gone down with all the cheap wind and solar in our grids now? Silex is part of a Multi generation Wealth Creation Event. that term was better said by Nick Lawson and Ben Fiengold from Ocean Wall on Uranium Insider. I am a bit shocked in a very nice way by many of the things I listened to several times and then reviewed the trasnscipt to ensure I wasn't imagining things.

I will keep my sunglasses on. Have a great weekend.
