As much as $500 million sounds, I don't think it is enough to kick start Haleu enrichment in the US.
They need that extra billion or two for Leu that was attatched to the 2024 US defence spending bill.
There is a lot of US senate and house action at the moment trying to get something agreed to before Christmas. I know the leu thing is largely bipartisan and has been modified slightly, but does anyone know if it is still in the defense spending bill deal they are currently discussing?
