Faults were found in the Muller work on linear no threshold (LNT) and the data clearly shows that below a threshold radiation does no damage:

Other studies show that low levels of radiation actually makes you more healthy - it's a bit like kids being exposed to dirt & grime - the hazard trains the immune system which is necessary for a healthy life.

Sewie is all hung up about the tailing in the Ben Lomond mine (in Queenland) and his father being present during nuclear testing at Maralinga and eventually dying of cancer. Both my parents died of cancer but as far as I knew were never exposed to radiation - cancer is the second most likely cause of death (heart disease is the first) so there is a high likelihood that any of us could die of it with or without exposure to radiation.

I guess facts have little influence of "belief" - just look at some of our religious brethern
